A neatly pressed shirt, a neck tie, a pair of polished shoes is no longer the physical etiquette needed to run a home based business. This comes as a welcome phenomenon with the home based business like the many advantages that it has. Even a bathrobe will do for a home based business.

But we are not completely fully spared of the rules that make up a good business. Because even in a home based business, there are a lot of people involved. There has to be some level of conformism even in a home based business. There are a few of the areas where we have to conform though home based business is a breakaway from the routine.

Loyalty to client

Loyalty to client is a general rule that is automated and followed in more of an unintentional manner than intended. It comes by understanding responsibilities and the feeling of being committed towards the job. It is assumed while talking about home based jobs that they are mostly outsourced projects that you can work from home.

This natural phenomenon is something that has to be communicated to the client as well. Our feeling the commitment may be important but the client has to be made to feel that there is some amount of loyalty on your part. Normally, we would have hated to play the second fiddle to someone in regular jobs.

Nevertheless, we may have to simply understand the needs of the client and deliver accordingly conforming to the parameters set by the client.

Communication of work status to client

These are reiterated for the fact that certain of our acumen will help us stay on the job for a while but eventually what matters is the delivery of the work and the quality of it. You may fog towards the client on a slow start by keeping him in the dark on the status. But you may have to catch up with the time available, work extra hours and earn a certain amount of goodwill.

Stand by your promises

The only downside of the home based business is the lack of commitment and the unreliability towards the home based business owners. Clients might immediately start to grumble about home based business owners and might not resort to a home based business in the future.

Keep your promises and this earns you a great reputation and a lot of trustworthiness towards your business, which means repeated customers, repeated business and repeated money!
